Finished Lenght: 45in  without fringe /  50in with fringe

Finished Width: 5.5in Size is  Adult Small (to resize add or subtract stitches.)

  • Caron Kindness Yarn 6.3 oz (color used Twirling Variegated)
    • 100% polyester 
    • Medium Weight (4)
  • Size I Hook (5.5mm)
  • Tapestry needle (optional for weaving in ends)
  • Scissors

The puff stitches in example were made with only 3 yarn overs. Giving the appearance of a  less bulky puff.

The back loop only half double crochet is done in the second back loop. See picture.

CH 122

  1. DC in 3rd CH from hook and all the way across. (120) CH 2 and turn.
  2.  *CH 1 – skip 1ST  and PF in next* repeat across and DC in last ST (60 PF)  CH 2 and turn.
  3. Skip 1ST and PF in next, *CH 1 – skip 1ST  and PF in next* repeat across and DC in last ST (60 PF)  CH 2 and turn.
  4. DC all the way across (120) chain 2 and turn.
  5. BLO HDC across (120) chain 2 and  turn.
  6.  *CH 1 – skip 1ST  and PF in next* repeat across and DC in last ST (60 PF)  CH 2 and turn.
  7. Skip 1ST and PF in next, *CH 1 – skip 1ST  and PF in next* repeat across and DC in last ST (60 PF)  CH 2 and turn.
  8. DC all the way across (120) chain 2 and turn.
  9. BLO HDC across (120) chain 2 and  turn.

Attaching the Fringe

 DC across and fasten off.

Finishing:

Weave in the ends.

For the fringe…   Cut pieces of yarn about 10in long making sure to keep them all the same. Group them in 4 or 6 depending on the thickness preferred  and attach them on both ends of the scarf using your hook. I attached 7 groups on each end of the scarf evenly spaced. You may add more or less groups to make it thicker or thinner, as you may prefer.
